 CAT 2021 Announcement 



  As announced by IIMs and other top business schools, the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 will be held in three sessions on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

There will be three sessions of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021, which is the admission test for Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and other top business schools in the nation.
IIM Ahmedabad will host the CAT in 2021, and the university has posted an information bulletin on its website, iimcat.ac.in, which you may see here.
Enrollment will open on August 4. 

For admission to postgraduate and fellow Management programmes at IIMs in Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bodhgaya, Calcutta, Indore, Jammu Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur Raipur Ranchi Rohtak Sambalpur Shillong Sirmaur Tiruchirappalli Udaipur Visakhapatnam, CAT is a requirement.


Bachelor's degree holders who scored at least 50% or a comparable CGPA in their undergraduate degree can register for CAT 2021.
For students who are classified as SC, ST, or PWD, the qualifying test must be passed with a minimum of 45 percent.


A candidate's final year of undergraduate study or equivalent qualification exam, as well as those who have finished degree requirements and are awaiting results, is also eligible to participate in the programme. 

Such candidates will be allowed to join provisionally if they submit a certificate from their university/principal/registrar institution's (issued on or before the date specified by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on or before the date specified by the respective IIM)."


It costs Rs 1,100 to apply for CAT 2021 if you're a SC, ST or PWD, and Rs 2,200 if you're not.


There will be 158 cities where the CAT will be administered as a computer-based exam (CBT). 

In a statement, the IIMs emphasised that passing the CAT does not ensure admission to the institute.
While the CAT score is a prerequisite, several other variables will be examined by the institutes in the admissions process.


As a result, each IIM is able to choose its own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-off points, relative weights, and selection methods).
According to an official statement, "IIMs may additionally consider candidates' past academic achievement, relevant job experience, and other comparable factors when short-listing candidates at different phases of the selection process."
