Assistant Engineer (Civil): 40 posts
Pay Scale: PB-4A, Rs.15600-42000/- + GP Rs.5400/-.
Sub-Assistant Engineer (civil): 40
Pay Scale: PB-4, Rs.9000-40500/- + GP Rs.4400/-.
Eligibility Criteria for KMC AE Vacancy 2016:
Assistant Engineer (Civil): Applicant must have a degree in Civil Engineer of a recognized University or its equivalent.
Desirable: One year's post-Graduate Practical training or study or research or practical Engineering experience. Passing the Examination of 'O' level in Computer application approved by AICTE.
Age limit: Age of the applicant should not more than 37 years as on 01.01.2016. Upper age limit for reserved categories candidates will be the application as per rules.
Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil): Applicant must have a Diploma in Civil Engineer from the State Council for Engineering or Technical Education or its equivalent. One year practical Training or studying or research or practical engineering experience in the Municipal Engineering work.
Age limit: Age of the applicant applying for Sub Assistant Engineer post should not more than 40 years for OBC (A&B) candidates and 42 year for SC/ST candidates & 45 years for Physically Handicapped Candidates as on 1st January 2016.
Application fee: Application fee for General, OBC (A) and OBC (B) candidates is Rs.150/- plus processing charges Rs.50 plus Rs.20/- towards Bank charge for challan deposit.
Candidates belongings to SC/ST and PH categories should only pay the processing charges of Rs.50/- towards Bank charges for challan deposit.
Mode of Payment: The prescribed application fee shall be collected by all the branches of the United Bank of India and the same to be deposited to Account No. 0088010367936 through Challan generated after submission of online application at www.mscwb.org. KMC AE Admit Card / Written Test 2016-17:
The Admit Card for KMC Written Test 2016 is likely to be issued be 10 days of exam date. It is expected that the Municipal Service Commission will issue the KMC AE Admit Card / Call Letter in February 2017. Shortlisted candidates will able to download MSC WB Admit Card 2016 by providing their registration no., Password / Date of Birth from mscwb.org.
Written Test: (200 marks) OMR based Written Examination of multiple choice, Objective type of 100 questions carrying 2 (two) marks each will be conducted. There will be negative marking and 1(one) mark will be deducted for each and every incorrect / wrong answer. The question will be set in English and time allowed will be 2 (two) hours.
Personality Test/Interview (40 marks) :- Candidates about 3(three) times of the
vacancy will be called on merit basis for Personality Test/Interview, Subject to obtaining
qualifying marks @ 45% for General Candidates, 40% for O.B.C. Candidates and @ 35% for
S.C. & S.T & Physically Handicapped Candidates.
KMC AE Exam 2016 Syllabus of Written Examination:
