The Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB), Government of Tamil Nadu has invited online applications from medical aspirant for walk-in selection for Direct Recruitment to the posts of Assistant Surgeon (Speciality) on the temporary basis in Tamil Nadu Medical Service. The candidates who are eligible for the post may submit their applications by visiting the MRB website www.mrb.tn.gov.in. After the selection is made by the Board, the postings of Assistant Surgeon (Specialities) will be made by the Head of Department after counselling. So, if you are eligible for Asst. The scale of Pay: Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.5400/-.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent Qualification awarded by a University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants. The courses must have been approved by the Medical Council of India.
For Assistant Surgeon (Speciality) - MBBS Degree with PG Diploma / PG Degree / Super Speciality Degree/DNB in the concerned Speciality. MD/MS in respective discipline.
- Must be a registered practitioner within the meaning of the Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914.
- Candidate should have registered his/her name in the Tamil Nadu Medical Council before the date of this notification.
Age limit: Age of candidates will be calculated as on 01-07-2016.
a. SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC&DCs, BCs, BCMs (including Ex-Servicemen belonging to
these communities) = 57 years
b. Others - 35 yeas and Ex-servicemen belonging to others category - 48 years.

Selection Process: There will be no written or oral examination for these posts. The walk-in selection will be based on the marks scored by the candidate in PG Degree / Super speciality/DNB/PG Diploma in concerned speciality / super speciality as per the communal roster, duly following the rules of reservation of Government of Tamil Nadu.
Application Fee: Rs.750/- be paid by all the candidates (excluding SC/SCA/ST/Differently Abled candidates). SC/SCA/ST/Differently Abled candidates have to pay Rs.375/- (Rupees Three Hundred and Seventy Five Only). In addition, the candidate has to pay the service charges applicable to the Indian Bank (in the case of offline payments) or Net Banking charges (Credit / Debit Card/mobile wallet) over and above the mandatory fee. The charges for the same will be about 2% of the
transaction (approximately Rs. 15) (Rupees Fifteen Only),
